1 box German chocolate cake mix
eggs (as listed on the cake mix directions)
oil (as listed on the cake mix directions)
1 – 14 oz. package of carmels
½ cup evaporated milk
1 stick margarine
6 oz. chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour ½ batter in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350º F for 15 minutes.

While this is baking, melt carmels, evaporated milk, and margarine slowly and stir often. Pour over cake (after it baked for 15 minutes). Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Cover with remaining batter and return to oven. Bake until well done.

Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
