16 fresh asparagus spears
16 slices bread ( crust removed) and flattened
8 oz. cream cheese
8 strips of cooked and crumbled bacon
2 tbsp. minced chives
1/4 cup melted butter
3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon then crumble. Remove crust from bread. May use rolling pin to flatten bread. Combine cream cheese, bacon, chives, butter and Parmesan. Place 1 tbsp. mixture on 1 slice bread and 1 slice asparagus. Roll tightly and put seam down on baking sheet. Brush with additional butter and sprinkle with cheese. Cut roll in half. Bake at 400º for 10-12 minutes.
