Ingredients: 1 sheet Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry -thawed but kept refrigerated.
6 oz. cream cheese at room temp.
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 T. sugar
1 egg beaten plus 1 tsp. milk
Berry Sauce, find under Breakfast recipes
Good quality vanilla icecream

Directions: |
Directions:Beat cream cheese, vanilla, sugar and 1/2 egg mixture. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Preheat convection oven to 400º
Divide pastry sheet into 4 squares with knife. Divide cream cheese mixture evenly, placing in the middle of each square.
Fold the points of each square over the top of the cream cheese mixture until they almost touch. Place a drop of of mixture at the bottom of each corner crease and pinch together the bottom 1 inch of the fold. Leaving the rest of the seam slightly open. Place stars on a baking rack which is on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes. (Baking rack helps the give a crisp bottom to the stars as they bake.) When ready to bake, brush pastry with egg mixture and dust with coarse sugar. Bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool.
To serve place star on dessert plate. In center of each star add 2 T. of Berry sauce. Top with a scoop of quality vanilla ice cream and cover with additional Berry Sauce. Dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy! |
