1 1/2 to 2 lb. round or sirloin steak
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 medium onions, sliced
2 red peppers, cut into strips
1 c. red wine or red cooking wine
1 c. beef broth
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1 pkg. egg noodles

Directions:
Cut steak into thin strips about 3 inches long.
In a skillet, saute the onions in 2 Tbsp. butter until soft and lightly brown. Remove. Keep warm.
In same pan, saute the red pepper strips until almost soft but not mushy. Remove. Keep warm.

Boil water for noodles adding noodles when water is ready. Cook until noodles are soft.

Heat remaining butter in pan.
Add steak strips to pan when butter sizzles. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cook until done to your liking.
Remove steaks, keep warm.

Add red wine and beef broth to pan. Scrape up pan drippings. Bring to a boil.
Mix cornstarch and water together in a cup. Pour in little amounts of cornstarch at a time. Bring to a boil. Cook until sauce is just thickened.
Put onions and peppers back in with meat. Cook all together until everything is warm.

Serve over noodles.

I never have red wine on hand so I always use red cooking wine which tastes really good.
