6 ripe peaches, peeled & halved
2 tsp brown sugar
1 vanilla bean (spilt & seeds removed)
Or 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 Cup water
8 Tbls butter softened
1/2 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup self-rising flour
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
grease & lightly flour 9" round cake pan
Place peaches cut side down in a large skillet w/ brown sugar, vanilla bean & water Simmer 5 minutes. Cool
Combine butter & sugar & beat @ meduim speed
Add eggs & beat til light & fluffy. Add flour, salt,& syrup from cooked peaches mix til blended.
Place peaches cut side down in prepared pan: Top with Batter. Bake 35- 40 minutes or til golden brown. When cool Sprinkle with powder sugar. Serve w/ ice cream or Creme Fraiche

I Like to use Gran Marnier for H2O , But that is your chose it also is nice to glaze with a gran marnier glaze made with Powder sugar.
