1 can asparagus, drained (reserve juice)
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1 8 ounce can sliced water chestnuts
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 cup bread crumbs
paprika
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
salt to taste
liquid from asparagus PLUS enough milk to equal 1 1/4 cups

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Prepare white sauce by combining butter, flour, salt, 1 1/4 cups liquid from asparagus juice and milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
Add chopped asparagus, chopped eggs, water chestnuts and cayenne pepper. Mix.
Pour into greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
