1 lb.ground beef, brown & drained
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
1 can tomato bits with green chili's
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 t. basil
2 t. salt
1 t. thyme
1 c. minute rice

Directions:
Directions:
Saute green pepper and onion in butter or oil until desired texture. Add browned ground beef, tomato bits, tomato sauce & seasonings in a large skillet and bring to a boil. Add minute rice. Cover on simmer until rice is done-10 minutes for white rice, 15 minutes for brown rice. Place velvetta slices on top of mixture. Turn stove off, cover dish and let stand until cheese melts.
