1/2 c dried peas or beans
5 med potatoes
1/2 c grated cheese
1/2 c fine bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 T melted bacon fat
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Directions:
Soak peas or beans overnight. Boil until very tender. Boil potatoes and mash. Add mashed beans, grated cheese, bread crumbs beaten egg, bacon fat and seasonings. When cool, make into patties. Dip into cornmeal and fry.
