8 medium potatoes
8 tbsp butter
6 tbsp flour
2 1/2 cups light cream or half and half
pepper
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup fine bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Wash, peel and dice potatoes and boil in salted water until just done not mushy
Drain potatoes and place in 2 qt lightly greased casserole dish
In medium saucepan melt 6 tbsp butter; then add flour, blend and gradually add cream stirring constantly until boiling. Season with salt and pepper, pour over potatoes. Top with grated cheese. Melt remaining 2 tbsp butter, stir in bread crumbs mixing until coated. Sprinkle crumbs over casserole. Bake at 400º for 20-30 min, until bubbly.
