1 lb. ground beef (the leaner the better)
1 large bell pepper, washed and chopped finely
1 large onion, washed and chopped finely
2 cans kidney beans
1 large can tomato puree
1 small can crushed tomatoes
1 package chili seasoning
1 dash of sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Fry beef, bell pepper and onion in large pot until cooked thoroughly. Drain grease and return meat mixture to pot. Add beans, tomato puree and crushed tomatoes, chili seasoning, salt, pepper and dash of sugar. Cook on medium heat until heated through.

For an added treat, top individual servings with a spoonful of sour cream and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese!

Hint: If you have left over spaghetti sauce, you can always add it to your chili. No one will ever know. You can even freeze the spaghetti sauce and add it to chili later on.
