¼ lb spiral pasta
1 cup broccoli, chopped (fresh or frozen)
2 tbsp olive oil
2-5 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
14 oz. can Italian tomatoes, chopped
¼ tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbsp golden raisins
2 tbsp slivered almonds
1 tsp parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:
Cook pasta in boiling salted water, 10-12 minutes or by package directions. During last 3 minutes of pasta cooking, add chopped broccoli (use sliced fresh carrots if you prefer). Drain pasta and vegetables. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a 10 inch skillet over medium heat. Add chopped garlic, and sauté 30-45 seconds until just light yellow. Add the can of italian tomatoes, salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes or until thick. Add raisins to tomato-garlic sauce and allow to heat for about 2 minutes. Pour the sauce over the drained pasta and vegetables. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and parmesan cheese.
