2 qt of water
1 c dry white beans-pre soaked
2 chorizos (cuban sausage)
1/2 pound curd ham chopped
several small pieces of pork fat
1 onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper
1 tsp of tomato sauce
1 tbsp of olive oil
1/4 cup chopped turnip
1 potato, peeled and chopped into 1/2 inch cubes
1 cup chopped collard greens

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients (except potatoes and collard greens) in a 3 quart port. Cook on medium-low heat until beans are tender (about 3 hours); you can use a pressured cooker. Add potatoes pieces and collard greens and cook until tender. Salt to taste.

3 hrs If cooker conventioanl way. I will take less time if a pressure cooker is used to cook beans.
