1 Cup soft real butter
1/4 to 1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp almond or 2 tsp vanilla
2 Cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 to 2 Cups Black Walnuts (finely chopped) or other kind of nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter with sugar until creamy. Add salt, vanilla, flour, and nuts; mix well. Chill dough until it's easy to handle. Using fingers shape dough into 1" balls or crescents. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º 12 to 15 minutes - until light brown.
When these cookies are still warm roll in powdered sugar.
