1 C. shortening - 1/2 butter & short.
1 C. sugar
2/3 C. dark molasses
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 C. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
dash of salt
3 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix these ingredients all together in order. Bake in a large greased pan, until the cake starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. 350º for about 30 minutes.

FROSTING
1 box powdered sugar - 1 lb.
1 egg white
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. milk to thicken
Beat these ingredients till fluffy and spread over cake.
