1 qt. white vinegar
8 C. white sugar
2 tsp. canning salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
7 drops green food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Day 1: Wash 14 whole cucumbers, boil enough water to cover the cucumbers. Pour boiling water over the cucumbers and let set for 1 day in bowl or crock. Drain.

Days 2, 3 & 4: Repeat instructions for day 1.

Day 5: slice cucumbers and put back into bowl or crock. Make the solution of sugar, vinegar and spices. Boil the solution on days 5 & 6 and pour over pickles.

Day 7: Pack pickles in jars and boil syrup solution again, pour the solution over pickles in jars and seal. No process time in canner is needed.
