2 packages fresh broccoli
2-3 pats of butter
salt and pepper

Sauce:
Cheddar cheese
1/2 stick butter or margarine
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 c. milk
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Wash broccoli and trim tougher parts of stems, cutting larger florets in half. Place steamer in bottom of large pot and add enough water to fill in just below the steamer. Add broccoli and cover. Steam until broccoli is tender.

While broccoli is cooking, prepare the cheese sauce. (see complete sauce instruction in Sauce Section). Heat over low to keep from getting too thick.

Remove broccoli from pot and drain liquid. Add salt, pepper and butter to season.

Serve broccoli and sauce separately. Pour sauce over individual broccoli servings.
