Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box lasagna noodles (Publix brand is fine)
1 large container of cottage cheese
2 jars pre-made spaghetti sauce
2 lbs. hamburger meat
16 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese (more is better)
a dash of sugar
garlic salt or powder
salt and pepper
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350. Break your hamburger up into smaller pieces and fry in pan. While cooking, season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Start a pot of water and bring to boil. Always add a splash of oil to water as it will keep noodles from sticking to each other. Stir both noodles and meat as they are cooking.
Once meat is browned, remove from heat and drain in colander. Pat excess grease from pan and return meat to pan, now adding the two cans of sauce. At this time, you should also add about a 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese for taste and a dash of sugar. (Sugar always cuts the strong acidic, tomato taste). Simmer on low while you finish with the noodles. Once noodles are cooked, remove from heat and drain water. You can run cold water over them to make them easier to handle. They will stick if you let them sit too long, so work quickly.
Start, by spreading a layer of sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 glass baking pan, then add a layer of noodles, a layer of cottage cheese, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat this process until your ingredients are gone. Always hold some sauce back to finish off the top or it will dry out your last layer of noodles. Of course, finish it off with a generous layer of mozzarella and then sprinkle some more Parmesan on top. Cook until lasagna starts to brown and bubble, usually around 30-45 minutes.
